Zagreb is full of hostels, their number has grown in the last few years and is difficult to be special today. This one I present you is an artistic space - SUBSPACE, and it is situated in the heart of Zagreb downtown.

The idea of this hostel is to get people together and share their living space. But in many Hostels dorms are uncomfortable and not very private, this is why women often avoid hostels. Here is that issue solved in best possible manner:) Subspace is the kind of Hostel where guests have their privacy and security, and again they can hang out in public, common areas when they want.

SUBSPACE hostel contains 20 fully equipped capsules… All of them have LCD Android monitors that are connected to the 100 Mbps optical network, the ventilation, a higher level of lights, a mirror for putting on makeup, and a safe for your documents and valuables.

All that in 100 square meters, Yes, genuine and original capsules like in SF movies and if you wonder where the showers are and how they are made, the answer may surprise you :)

They are made of sewer pipes !!!!
Looking for low cost solutions, They used sewage pipes that are already waterproof and there is no need for extra money for the tiles. They cut them up and that's it, in the end, they got very functional and affordable sanitary facilities.

The walls of the entire space, including the entrance door to the building, are painted and definitely leave you breathless. The paintings are an interpretation of a starry night on a crystal clear night and looking like that Subspace will assimilate them :)
