I have invented a theoretical engine that can increase the velocity of a human-sized vehicle to near-light speed.
Here's how it works:
It consists of 4 main components: The Electromagnetic Accelerator, the Superconducting Waveguide, a Waveguide Heating Laser, and the Interstellar Electromagnetic Craft.
Here's how it works:
Construct a particle-accelerator-style electromagnetic ring in space. Beyond the perimeter of the circle described by the accelerator, construct two additional rings made of superconducting material, one on a higher horizontal parallel plane than the accelerator, and one on a lower horizontal parallel plane than the accelerator.
The superconducting material will be cold enough in space to produce the Meissner effect, repelling any local magnetic fields, like that produced by the accelerator ring, and more importantly, the field emitted by the Electromagnetic Craft.
Stage the craft in an orbital position between the accelerator and the Superconducting Waveguide, then activate the accelerator.
The craft will begin to orbit the accelerator, compelled to describe a circular course by the containing force of the Meissner effect produced by the Superconducting Waveguide.
When the craft nears light speed, prepare the superconductor release sequence by targeting lasers directly at parallel locations on the Superconducting Waveguide. When ready, fire the lasers, which will heat the Waveguide to non-superconductivity, and the craft will be released when it encounters this break in the Meissner effect, sending the craft flying off into space at near-light speed, or hypervelocity.
If you like my invention, and think that it might work, please give an upvote and resteem if you like. Thanks!
