An international team of scientists and astronomers discovered a system of five massive exoplanets orbiting a Sun like star called K2-138. The planetary system is approximately 792 light-years away toward the constellation Aquarius.

K2-138 is moderately a bright K-type star. It is little bit smaller than our Sun and has five massive planets. All the planets are between the size of Earth and Neptune, the planet K2-138b maybe potentially rocky but planets K2-138c, d, e, & f likely contain large amounts of ice and gas. The planets orbit their star in concentric circles showing closed planetary system.
All the five planets in the system have orbital periods of shorter than two weeks 2.35, 3.56, 5.40, 8.26, and 12.76 days and are incredibly hot, ranging from 427-982° c.
