During the test launches, a new #Merlin engine blew up on one of the test sites, which #SpaceX specialists worked on creating.
According to available information, none of the employees were injured. However, the consequences of the incident caused significant damage to the construction structures based on #MacGregor. Representatives of the company have already given their comments to the media and investors:
"When carrying out test tests, all safety requirements were met. At present, we carefully analyze what happened to determine the root causes. #SpaceX is ready for an open investigation and constructive cooperation with all parties.
The event will not affect the company's further plans to implement the project of flights into space. The company will draw conclusions from what happened to prevent such a thing from now on, "says the official statement of John Taylor, the Speaker of #SpaceX.
The company plans to conduct several more tests in the near future, where an earlier version of the engine is used as the power plant. The remaining test sites will allow to implement the planned without delay.
The incident occurred on November 5, but representatives of #SpaceX until recently did not advertise what had happened.
The ignition occurred during the injection of liquid oxygen. What was the reason and will have to find out the experts. According to experts, the restoration of the site itself will take up to three weeks.
