Booster B1051.5 stands down following Saturday's scrub

Saturday's scheduled SpaceX Falcon 9 StarLink with BlackSky rideshare launch scrubbed so flight engineers could take more time to do some checks on the Falcon 9 Booster stack.

The launch was scheduled for liftoff at 10:54am EDT from the historic launchpad 39A using SpaceX Booster 1051, which will be flying for its 5th time once it finally gets off the ground.

Just a few hours after scrubbing the launch, at the nearby Space Launch Complex (SLC) 40, SpaceX rolled out a different Falcon 9, fueled it up, and performed a static test fire in preparation for launch on Tuesday, July 14 at 17:00 EDT. This mission will carry the Anasis-II, which is a Korean military satellite built by Lockheed Martin, and deploy it into a Geostationary Transfer Orbit (GTO).

Booster 1058 successfully passes static test fire in preparation for its 2nd flight supporting the Anasis-II mission

Earlier today, SpaceX posted a new T-Minus-0 launch time of 20:00 on July 13. So if this date holds, we can expect to see two launches in two days using the two different launch facilities (39A and SLC40), with each booster landing on a different Autonomous Spaceport Drone Ship (ASDS). B1058 is scheduled to land on Just Read the Instructions, while B1051 is scheduled to land on Of Course I Still Love You.

So, even though we did not get to see four launches in the month of June as we were hoping due to weather violations, it should still be very exciting to see two launches in two days, which would be a first.

What do you think? Do you think they are going to launch two Falcon 9s in two days?

Bummer. The StarLink -9/BlackSky launch has been changed from 7/13 to "TBD".

Tuesday July 14 & 15 will still be a good couple days for launches. The Hope Mars Mission is launching on the 15th at 05:51 JST (16:51 EDT, previous day 7/14) from the Tanegashima Space Center in Japan.

Then the SpaceX Anasis-II mission will launch a few minutes later at 17:00 EDT.
