Today, my excellent handyman installed the Starlink antenna on top of my defunct chimney, threaded its Ethernet cable down the chimney, into my basement and into the duct for the defunct toilet in my Printroom. That's where the router has to be placed. And next week Ethernet cables will be connected to various places around here.
My first tests today in this new location, where the antenna has a totally unobstructed view towards the South, indicates it is 4x faster, both for download and upload, than the ancient ground cable I have used here at Kalista for ten years.
And as SpaceX launch many more satellites and further tweak their tech, this speed should only improve in the years ahead.
