yes, that's a tesla in space.
if you have not heard yet the falcon heavy launch was a success, while i did not watch the full version of the live stream i caught the climax of when it hit space and seperated with two parts returning back to base.
we are not living in the age when this is going to be common place, sending satellites and supplies and fuel up there in orbit for fueling the BFR, and who knows maybe your kids will fly in one to the other side of the planet to meet up with friends for lunch (well rich crypto friends anyway)
kinda feels like the moment you saw in black and white when everyone was sitting around the tv set waiting for man to walk on mars. elon certainly knows how to hustle and get on with stuff -- he's built an incredible team who are pulling up some incredible achievements. i'm not sure how i feel about a tesla in space but hey if you are gonna test out your payload you might as well send up something profound in the process! :)
i'm sure you will have seen the gif images by now but if not this should explain everything - two boosters landing back on terra firma on earth together, incredible.
like rockets locked in a organized descending dance down to planet earth, can you imagine the amount of work and algorithms and testing has been done to achieve this moment -- even elon himself said that it was 50/50 that it did not explode into little pieces. an incredible achievement.
better start saving for that space trip. . .
These companies are really advancing the technology and making it affordable. Musk says he can launch at a fraction of what NASA can do. I still hope to see people back on the Moon in my lifetime, and maybe even Mars

Watched it live. One of the most exciting things I have ever seen. Even if it blew up it would have been an exciting day.

Just as the Maiden flight of the Falcon heavy was successful, I feel the colonization of mars will be in due time; in a FEW years to come, hopefully. Musk hopes and dreams are finally coming into reality and I do hope our generation would make it to mars someday.

Elon Musk is the most interesting entrepreneur in the world. I have never been so magnetically drawn to the achievements of a single individual. I read his biography, read all Wait-but-why articles about him, watched a shitload of videos and interviews with him and I conclude that the world was desperately in need of such a man. Steve Jobs was NOTHING compared to him. And I loved Steve Jobs. ;)
Did the world need a car in space? Hell yeah! Why? Because we can! He is flipping the bird to all the space and car and energy businesses in the world.
