Catalonia president and parliament dismissed, elections in December

Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajo has fired Catalonian President and Parliament This step was taken within a few hours of declaration of independence from Spain.

In a televised speech, he said regional elections in Catalonia will be held on December 21. Earlier, the president and the prime minister were fired as well as the Catalunya regional police chief was fired. In addition, the Central Ministers of Spain have been instructed to take administrative responsibility of Catalan.

In his speech, Rajo said that Spain is going through a tragic situation. In this situation, the citizens of Catalan should be heard urgently, he said. Catalonia residents can determine their future from the law, and no one can take any extra-judicial action by reducing their name.

Yesterday the Catalonia Regional declared independence from Spain. Within 40 minutes of this announcement, Madrid announced the establishment of direct rule over the region.

Catalonia's 135 seats in parliament have 70 votes in favor of independence and 10 against. Two empty ballot papers have been submitted. Opposition Socialist Party and the People's Party or the PP and Siudonism voted out. #
