Here's the reality of the situation, as long as money and the internet exist, spam will exist and all you do in taking steps to "prevent it" is

A) Force the spammers to invent new more creative ways to spam anyway

B) For a short while replace their spam with "anti-spam", spam.

so really doing this is helping no one except the people doing it, filling their pockets and feeding their ego's but doing no real actual good. if you want to stop spam you need to stop humanity's desire for money. treat the problem, not the symptoms.

Treating the symptoms, fills their pockets, feeds their ego and wastes everyone else's time and money.

IT DOES NOT MATTER "WHY" THEY DO IT.

Be it for principal or for money or both, the REALITY of the situation remains the same.

People who actually want to help OTHERS do things like curation trails, contests, and other types of community engagement. By setting up things like steemcleaners you have set up your own little police state.
