Spam Fight Update - First SP Delegation Lease

in spam •  7 years ago

Greetings my fellow Steemians!

This is my first Status Report on my account. My main purpose is to Fight Reward Abuse on Steemit.

Initial Steem Power:
27(del) + 26 = 53SP

I recently had two articles pay out. I thought I had a bunch of SBD(20sbd or more) coming my way, and I intended to use it all to Lease SP to help me fight Spam.

Well I had set them both to 100% powerup. So no SBD, ...so no big lease. Fortunately, I had a couple comments that got nice upvotes on the Blocktrades Lease OP. And that was nice, because it gave me nearly 3 sbd. With that 3 and what I already had, I converted it to STEEM. A total of 6.10 Steem. .....AND did a long term(90 Day) SP lease through Blocktrades. It was only for 87 SP. So that puts me up above 1cent. Maybe 2Cents at 100% Voting Power.

Something is better than nothing. This will allow me to flag some smaller abusers and gather info to report all the larger abusers.

But 87, plus the 27 initial delegation, plus 66 Steem powered up, is still very little.

I would love to have someone willing to delegate even 100SP to this account to fight the rising tide of harmful, reward-robbing, spam and empty content that is starting to suck and choke the STEEM blockchain.

Ending SP status:
27(del) + 87(del) + 67 = 181 total Steem Power

And yes, I know that I need a nicer Post. I will work on that. I just wanted to get this report out today.

Please, if you haven't yet, have a look at my previous posts. They can all use some more upvotes and Resteems. And the one, reporting on a couple reward pool thiefs, needs a whale's or big dolphin's attention to redeem all those pending rewards($15/day ...so as much as $90 to $100!!!).

Hope you all have had a great weekend!
Public Eye signing out!
Thx

Let's work together and get this spam gathered up and mulched into oblivion!

Hi

How under 200SP can give you 1 cent voting power?

I just did a calculation with someone and it looks like by different estimates you need over 1000 sp to get to 1 cent upvoting power (at the current exchange rate of approx at parity with USD)

Could someone please show me the math?

Thanks.

I know from experience. Someone that has 500SP has about a 3 or 4 cent upvote.

Here is a good resource you can use:
https://steemnow.com/upvotecalc.html
Under Steem Power I typed in 200 and it gave me a $0.02 calculation
I typed in 150 and it gave me a $0.01 calculation.

I hope this helps. And sorry for just now getting back to you.
(and on steemnow.com I typed in my name in the Username field. It shows I have 181.716 SP
my 100% upvote is worth $0.01 and my voting power is 90.99%)

and to test it... I upvoted myself... and yes, it shows I gave myself $0.01 on the above REPLY.

How do you have a 23cent upvote and you didnt even upvote the post? You should have at least upvoted his post if you are going to ask a question and then upvote yourself. (Edited out some rudeness)

you have a point, i don't mind upvoting it.

Hey, i can even upvote your angry comment.
I don't mind either :-)
I can put all my power to add a few hundreds' of a cent if it makes you feel better :-)

Just to reply - when i asked a question i did not have 23 cents, nor was i looking for any cents nor do i care about petty cents.

Also why i did not vote? Because i felt that the information was incorrect or incomplete. Very good intention - yes but math wrong probably in an order of magnitude, not just a rounding error.

That is why i asked to clarify before voting for something that is incomplete. Although yes, nice work in progress.

Besides, before you swear, you might want to know that I already spent probably $2000 upfront and keep paying almost $200/month to support Steemit community and keep my dedicated Witness server and another seed node operational for YOU TOO by the way to keep Steemit infrastructure more reliable. I have not been paid A SINGLE CENT for it yet.

Does it put it a little bit in perspective for your question about 23 cents?

I also hope i answered and clarified it for you.

How about voting for my Witness now? Would it be within your integrity standards to give me a chance to maybe (possibly in many months or years or never) recover a few cents from my expenses for the community and maybe vote for my Witness?

Hey @bix I apologize. You are right. It wasn't you that upvoted yourself. But it does look weird for a comment to be higher than the post.

But as you said... if I am wrong on something big, then I guess you shouldn't upvote it.

However, I think I am right. And I tested it.

So, what is the name of your witness? Have you been running it long? I am willing to help out. Thank you

No need to apologize. No harm done. I'm just seeking clarity and facts. Not blaming anyone. And not in a pissing contest :) I don't sweat small things in life.

Yeah those 23 cents happened after I already left the page and were beyond my power anyway. I had no idea someone upvoted it.

My Witness has the same name, bix. It's in my profile too :) but I guess people don't often look at profiles.

I'll help you with all I can.

Anything that can help to clean up the community and fix the platform - I'm all for it.

Otherwise why would I be here - chasing one cent at a time? I'm loosing way too much money by being here. I can tell you in private how much my time is worth. That's of course in addition to hard costs incurred.

Cheers everyone.

okay, good.

Did you look at the steemnow sites? They have helped me out a lot.

Right, I only looked at your blog page where it says "Business Intelligence with Uncompromising Integrity" You may want to add your witness status just after that.

well glad all is well! Thanks so much for stopping by!
I'll ask em3 to let me monitor my comments section next time ;-D

I know about steemnow but it is very inaccurate. I ran into some posts which i don't remember now, which explain why it is wrong and outdated.

As a fresh test as of today it says that you need 100 SP to get 1 cent voting power:

It is HUGELY inaccurate.

My calculation with someone today showed that his 1k SP was giving him 1 cent voting power at max. Maybe there was some mistake in calculation, I don't know. That is why i asked what it was based on because I've heard so many estimates so far apart from each other...

I am thinking maybe i should just load a few hundred dollars, convert to SP and then see for myself?

oh, and thank you for your great suggestion about Witness status right in my status line! Appreciate it.

Hey, how is my witness status show up now?

Yes, it is there on your cover page now: Steemit Witness
thumbs up!

Thanks @em3, it is okay. I am answering @bix now. It's fine.

Hi

My full power vote is not worth 23 cents. It's not worth even one cent, far away from even that!

I did not vote for myself. Those cents came from 10 or 11 people voting for the same question that I had.

I only voted for my question after you suggested me to do it - at the same time when I voted for the original post and for your comment and for my own comment.

I don't care about rudeness. It doesn't bother me at all. I can easily handle it and don't take offense. It's more for yourself how you want to be perceived by others :)

I hope you feel better now.

Hey, I can even follow you now. You seem like quite "colorful" guy :)

Peace.

I just won some sbd, so I am going to pay it forward and help you out. How about a minnowboost and a couple sbd to help with your next SP lease!? Hope it helps and hope you can get a lot of cleaning done!

Have a great weekend 😊

Thank you! This really did highlight my Steemit Weekend! Thank you so much!!
