I cant believe how extensive this is! The amount of resources you devote and time spent must be enormous. Its such a service to the community to protect its integrity, without people like you out there pulling the weeds, we would never enjoy the fruits of our garden. If spam accounts and bots take over Steem, the platform will die. Thank you again.

You are right about achraf he is a spammer and we told him to stop this , he is using more than 30+ accounts ( he is my friend and he tell me that he have many accounts but I don't know the exact number of his accounts)
What i want to say is not all the 128 accounts belong to achraf or that one person
I'm not a spammer and this picture is a proove that we ( the 128 accounts ) are not the same person , we are not spammers we are a groups of friends who love steemit community and we are not abusing this social network , please rethink and thanks

I love steemit, yet with the vested interest of money as an option, human nature has kicked in and it is not like a mini version of the business world outside. I still love it here, but it certainly makes for less interesting content. I don't use reddit, but that seems to be a place where people turn to for content when they want to know something.

Well done mate. This is more widespread than many might imagine. I just posted a ring to Steemcleaners last night, but another which looks dodgy is a whole community, bescouted. So many accounts there with the same MO, account opened same month, posting 6 to 10 single pics a day without metadata....all single syllable names etc etc...hope you get chance to take a look :-)

Bescouted is an awesome site. Have you checked out bescouted.com? It was a previously existing photo community that integrated into the blockchain and encouraged its members to acquire & link Steem accounts. Similarities in join dates, post formats etc. are most likely due to their interactions being done through bescouted.com and not Steemit. They’ve announced the intent to launch an SMT, apparently secured outside investor funding, and are in some direct contact with Steemit Inc.
Seriously, make a quick account, log into bescouted.com and play around. It’s one of the earliest and best examples of how existing sites can leverage the Steem blockchain. No scam ring bothered to build that interface!

There are ways to get accounts instantly and can automate the process. But I believe these were made by hand and then the content has been scripted.

+themarkymark, so it sounds like these spammer accounts and vote bot abusers are just too numerous for steemit community to handle in isolation. What do you suggest regular users like myself do? Is there anything we can do to help ebb the tide of this problem? I've reported a couple of copy and posters that I've seen so far, but that's only the material I've come across. Luckily I don't follow those types and stick mainly to steemstem and other reputable tags where they are few and far between.

There's a whole network of these kind of accounts that have been spamming dMania lately as well. They'll be 50+ votes and comments from the same group of "people" within a minute. They all are new accounts, all have near identical SP, all have no posts themselves, and all appear to be pooling from the same master list of comments (because they'll alternate which comments each one leaves, with the same mispellings and grammar errors). They've been circumventing the 1 dMania bot pick per day (last I checked, posts by this group of accounts had 5 of the last 7 dMania Bot picks), in addition to shitposting and voting up a select few accounts.

Here's just a few of the user ID's and you can easily see that they're blatantly gaming the system...

@aatifmele, @fingerman, @dubailive, @mateosiit, @highcom

I wish I had the power to smack them down myself, but I don't unfortunately.

Nice caps.

It's boosted for exposure to show @buildawhale isn't enabling spammers and are doing something about it, something very few are.

This network isn't as much about money it is about bloat to the blockchain, the amount of shit it produces daily is insane, and the blockchain is already struggling with growth. Most of the full nodes are offline or struggling due to the insane amount of growth and memory requirements getting out of hand. WItness nodes will even require supercomputers before long at this rate.

It is unsustainable until things are optimized and this type of spam is stopped. With what I paid for promotion on this post, I might break even if I'm lucky unless I get support from others.

But yeah your caps really help show you are angry. I'm fucking angry too that I got to spend 8 hours dealing with this bullshit daily while being called an enabler because I run a large bot that votes on stuff being submitted and 90% of the stuff here is spam.

I'd rather spend my time posting tutorials, live stream gaming, talk about crypto, and gadgets. But no I got to look through thousands of bullshit posts a day to see who is abusing rewards and who isn't.

we need to have a complain box for this.. why none of them act for the posts that make 100z-1000z for just posting a pic of having lunch or wishing happy new year with 2 lines? isnt that reward pool rape? we need to give everyone a fair chance and the best way is to remove trending and hot pages. that way people only search for the post they want to see or new posts or their feed.
