La única fuente de donde han surgido las herejías y de donde han nacido los cismas, es que no se obedece al Pontifice de Dios... SAN CIPRIANO DE CARTAGO

Estos Santos amigos se opusierón a las herejías entre los año 253 y 258. Una de las herejías denominadas Novaciano, afirmaba que la Iglesía Católica no tenía la autoridad de perdonar pecados. Ante esta ferrea oposición sufrierón multiples persecusiones y murierón como mártires en el destierro. La Iglesía Católica celebra sus fiestas el 16 de Septiembre.
