Para realizar esta costura debemos pasar por los siguientes pasos:

.* Mide el hilo que vamos a usar

Medida correcta para la hebra de hilo:
• Debe tomarse la punta del hilo con dedo pulgar e índice y doblando el brazo hacia arriba, se mide hasta el codo, y esa medida obtenida debe repetirse, y quedar esa medida doble para enhebrar la aguja.

Nota: Esto se hace para que cuando ya esté hecha la costura dure un tiempo, y no se rompa tan rápido.

• Se corta el hilo con las tijeras en forma diagonal.
  Nota: Se cortará de esta forma para qué la punta del hilo que quede en el carrete sea fácil de enhebrar la próxima vez que vayas a coser.

• Para enhebrar la aguja se toma la aguja con los dedos pulgar e índice con la mano diestra con el ojal hacia arriba; de la misma manera se toma el hilo con la mano diestra y haciendo apoyo con los dedos colocamos la aguja con el ojal frente a nosotros e introduciéndolo por este.

• Se hace un nudo en el extremos inferior del hilo (si se toma ambas puntas se lleva doble y si utilizamos un solo extremo del hilo se llevará sencillo)
