Se dan muchos casos de niños que andan jugando de lo mas tranquilo y de repente les viene sangre por la nariz,eso es una alarma para la madre o cualquiera que lo vaya a socorrer. Estos sangrados se conocen con otros nombres como hemorragias nasales o epistaxis nasal. Esta perdida de sangre viene dada ya que se rompe el tejido que recubre la nariz y ocurre con mayor frecuencia en una sola fosa nasal. Las causas de estas hemorragias nasales pueden ser irritaciones por alergias, resfriados, aire muy frió o seco,sonarse la nariz con mucha fuerza,hurgarse la nariz,estornudos o problemas de sinusitis. Cuando el niño presenta el sangrado debemos tratar de no alarmarlo y proceder A:
- Sentarlo y apretar los orificios nasales con sus dedos o un pañuelo.
- El apretón debe ser firme y la presión constante.
- Mantener la nariz apretada por lo mínimo 10 minutos.
- Colocar compresas frías en la frente.
- Mantenerse tranquilo,sentado o acostado hasta que pare de sangrar.
- No exponerse mucho al sol ni a correr.
Hay otro tipo de tratamiento cuando son muy continuos los sangrados,el cual consiste en cauterizar directamente dentro de la fosa nasal la membrana rota,esto debe ser realizado por especialistas en la materia.
