Hoy, 19 de marzo, se celebra el Día de San José patrón Universal de la Iglesia Católica. San José de Nazaret era el esposo de la Virgen María y Padre Putativo del niño Jesús de Nazaret . Se sabe que él era carpintero de acuerdo a las primeras escrituras de los evangelios de Mateos y Lucas. Tuvo la responsabilidad de asumir la paternidad del Cristo en la tierra y ser el custodio de la Sagrada Familia.

Este Santo es considerado en Venezuela el Patrón de los Trabajadores, por lo tanto la Superintendencia de Bancos Sudeban, este día es considerado no laborable en los bancos del país. De igual manera se les felicitas a todas esas personas que llevan por nombre José, Josefina, etc.
