The "volume" would be, the total amount of work done, either in a session or in a week.
While the "intensity" is the degree of effort developed to perform an exercise in each repetition.
According to the scientific evidence, if both are equal, the benefits in the strength and in the gains of the races will be similar when comparing a person who goes 3 or 6 times a week to train.
