Governments around the world are increasingly leaning towards regulation and taxation of the cryptocurrency sector, with executives in Europe and South America ready to act.
In the Netherlands, the country's main financial regulator, the Netherlands Financial Markets Authority, has told the government that it should ban anonymous trade and oblige all Dutch bitcoin wallet services (including the other altcoins) and cryptography to request commercial licenses issued by the government or regulators. Currently there is a similar system in Japan, where all national exchanges are subject to the approval of the Financial Services Authority of the country.
