The Verb "Llevar" in Spanish and How to Use It

in spanish •  7 years ago  (edited)

The verb llevar in Spanish has multiple meanings: to bring, to carry, or to wear are the three verbs in English that llevar is used for.

It's an -AR verb, so we conjugate it using these -AR endings: -o, -as, -a, -amos, -áis, -an

This is how we conjugate in the present tense:

yo llevo = I carry/wear/bring
llevas = you carry/wear/bring
él/ella/usted lleva = he/she/you(formal) carry/wear/ bring
nosotros(as) llevamos = we carry/wear/bring
vosotros(as) lleváis = you all (Spain) carry/wear/bring
ellos(as)/ustedes llevan = they/ you all (Latin America + Spain(formal) carry/wear/bring
