The Verb "Saber" (to know) in Spanish and How to Use ItsteemCreated with Sketch.

The verb saber means "to know." In some cases it can also be used as "to find out."

The "yo" (I) form is irregular. Here are the conjugations for the different subject pronouns:

yo = I know

sabes = you know

él/ella/usted sabe = he/she/you (formal) know(s)

nosotros(as) sabemos = we know

vosotros(as) sabéis = you all (Spain) know

ellos(as)/ustedes saben = they/you all [Latin America, Spain (formal)]

Now that we know the conjugations, let write some example sentences in the present tense to further your understanding:

1. Yo que tú eres alto. = I know that you're tall.

2. Tú sabes mucho inglés. = You know a lot of English.

3. Él sabe manejar el carro de cambios. = He knows how to drive the manual car.

4. Nosotros sabemos mucho sobre el mar. = We know a lot about the sea.

5. Vosotros no sabéis mi nombre. = You all (Spain) don't know my name.

6. Ustedes saben que tengo treinta años. = You guys know that I'm thirty years old.
