Piqué ha notificado que sus deseos son de dedicarse a plenitud con su equipo el Barcelona y se abre a un costado respecto al seleccionado nacional. El defensor que siempre ha sido titula con el equipo ibérico hizo su debut internacional en 2009 y disputó 102 partidos con España, en ese trayecto además de ser un consistente defensor dejó su sello como goleador en cinco oportunidades.
