Jesus is God: The man on whom you see the Spirit come down and remain is the one who will baptize with the Holy Spirit

The Gospel of John, at the beginning of the book, tells us about the testimony of John the Baptist about Jesus. John the Baptist was a prophet who baptized with water in the Jordan for repentance of sins and announced the Kingdom of Heaven, the dominion or empire of God's perfections, to the humble and simple people.
John the Baptist came into the world with a spiritual mission: "There was a man sent from God whose name was John. He came as a witness to testify concerning that light, so that through him all might believe" John 1:6-7.
And John the Baptist told us about a baptism in water and a baptism in the fire and the Holy Spirit, and this is so because, in the christian revelation, there are two births, one according to the flesh and one according to the spirit. Being born of the spirit in the Sacred Scriptures means reaching the likeness of God through Gnosis, and thus become a new man full of the Holy Spirit and free from concupiscence and the slavery of sin. The knowledge of eternal life (John 17:3) and of the truth is a grace from God, a beatitude, and a gift from above: "Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God" Matthew 5:8.
John gave his life to bear witness to someone greater than himself, our Lord Jesus, when the Priests and Levites went to ask him who he was. Because the Kingdom of God is rejected by many: "From the days of John the Baptist until now, the kingdom of heaven has been subjected to violence, and violent people have been raiding it" Matthew 11:12.
And when John the Baptist saw Jesus approaching him to be baptized, he said with love and devotion:
"And I myself did not know him, but the one who sent me to baptize with water told me: ´The man on whom you see the Spirit come down and remain is the one who will baptize with the Holy Spirit´. I have seen and I testify that this is God's Chosen One" John 1:33-34.
