The Book of Wisdom, which is a didactic book, is a precursor to many of the teachings of Jesus about the spiritual nature of the kingdom of God, especially the teaching about the two paths, righteousness ("Do to no one what you yourself hate" Tobit 4:15) and sin; furthermore, many of Paul's epistles are inspired by this book, which suggests that the apostle of the Gentiles knew this text.
And the Book of Wisdom not only discusses the mysteries of the most excellent and perfect science for man, but the author of the book, probably the wise King Solomon, also meditated on the destiny of people according to the path they choose, because error and assertiveness (precision and accuracy) lead men to very different rewards.
As in all sapiential books, the law of sowing and reaping ("God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows" Galatians 6:7) is constantly present in this spiritual book, although this cosmic law is not mentioned in an explicit manner. And the Book of Wisdom is clear that just as for sinners the retribution is disaster, for the righteous the retribution is the true life: "But the righteous live forever, and their reward is with the Lord; the Most High takes care of them" Wisdom 5:15. This spiritual teaching has a great resemblance to the teachings of Jesus, especially when the divine teacher spoke about the gift of eternal life, the life that once obtained cannot be lost, the highest reward a Christian can obtain for his faith in Jesus.
The righteous live forever, the Book of Wisdom teaches, but this is true only in a metaphorical sense; this most likely refers to the contemplative life, the meditation focused on the divine attributes of God. In theology, this form of spiritual life is considered to be the life of the Angels and those devotees who have attained spiritual perfection in every sense: "Consecrate yourselves and be holy, because I am the LORD your God" Leviticus 20:7. The Book of Wisdom calls men to persevere in righteous living despite the difficulties that a world given over to sin presents, because in the use of science lies common sense and the reward that God has reserved for his devotees.
