Jack Canfield is one of the more popular writers of inspirational books that delve into Universal principles and the Law of Attraction, and was in the Secret movie as most of you probably know who have seen that documentary. |
---|
His method to attract the idea to write Chicken Soup for the Soul, was to attach an over-sized replica of a check for $100,000 made out to him on his ceiling , so that his awakening consciousness would see that dollar amount first thing in the morning, and thus soak into his below-surface consciousness.
Whether or not you use a trick like Jack's, or follow a different writer's advice to visualize in a alpha or theta level of awareness, I think the main challenge for people applying metaphysical principles is that "lag time" before their objective ( the car, the better job, girlfriend/boyfriend, etc ) appears.
And I think it's this impatience that drags their mood now and causes them to cancel out the steady Feeling of already having the objective. You really do need to not only have enough faith in these principles ( and if you're not someone who resonates with the spiritual/metaphysical explanations, look at it from the science, i.e. Quantum Physics aspect ) but also build an habitual mood of some level of peace or higher state.
Pick small moments of time where you happily engage in the feeling of your objective, but moreso, .. and this is the point of this post..
Find something that you enjoy, that makes time go by really fast and consumes your entire attention.
And when you find that "thing".. even more important.. don't attach some outcome to it.
For example, If you're a retail sales employee and then you want to pick up the guitar |
---|
.. do it, because you enjoy the process of learning the guitar and playing music
and NOT, to all of a sudden imagine playing gigs in clubs.. because injecting that outcome is going to bring your mood down again.
Around 2009, I was offered to join 3 other people for a double date, but I was so excited about learning a new web technology ( called Django ), I turned it down to work on that tonight. It was just a pure love for learning this thing. I did end up making a date with that woman I did not know which resulted in a fun fling, however, and also then started manifesting other things on my list, because I was "distracting" my impatience with this new love for learning this thing.
The purpose of spending time on enjoying things, is to find unconditional happiness in the moment, that transmits to the Universe a high vibration in your Being. And the more you give that off to Life, the more Life gives you back more things that match that frequency.
** ... and then the objective arrives.**
Here are some quotes relating to Expressing Joy in Creating Things:
Doing what you love is the cornerstone of having abundance in your life
Wayne Dyer
You give but little when you give of your possessions. It's when you give of yourself that you truly give.
Kahlil Gibran
Follow Your Bliss and the Universe will open doors for you where there were only walls.
Joseph Campbell
PROFITS ARE A BY-PRODUCT.
The bottom line has never been a reason for doing anything. It's much more the satisfaction of creating things that you're proud of and making a difference.
Richard Branson
When you are present, when your attention is fully in the Now, that Presence will flow into and transform what you do. There will be quality and power in it. You are present when what you are doing is not primarily a means to an end (money, prestige, winning) but fulfilling in itself, when there is joy and aliveness in what you do.
And, of course, you cannot be present unless you become friendly with the present moment. That is the basis for effective action, uncontaminated by negativity.
Eckhart Tolle
