Awake

'Never did eye see the sun unless it had first become sunlike, and never can the soul have vision of the First Beauty unless itself be beautiful' (Plotinus).

I found this beautiful quote and it made me think. I read it as a metaphor of awakening in life. It entails a sense of going beyond, and becoming a better version of oneself in order to see the 'sun'.

In fact, how could a corrupt soul ever possibly see the underlying Beauty of life?

To see Pureness, one must go beyond Maya..

What do you think about this quote? :)
