How To Limit The Creator

in spirituality •  7 years ago

On another beautiful morning that the Lord has made, I wake up with excitement and wonder in my heart. An over whelming feeling of change and love. The feeling that God is movimg for the world, to bring us together. Outside of what we might see on the news, I believe God is moving. As the title suggests, I believe we as the crration are limiting the creator based on our own understanding.

The biggest challenge today seems to be a competition of who might be able to limit the Creator the most. I say it like this in hopes to sow understanding. We as people try to limit and control God for our own ends. We play as if we have the ability to create life. The ability to control an outcome, or even our own salvation.

Salvation in the bible appears to be as a fogiveness of sin. A reconciliation to the Father. A supernatural life changing occurance. An event that shows God's grace poured out for His creation. We are saved by grace through faith In Jesus. Where does faith come from. Well, faith comes from hearing the word. Some might believe this is as simple as hearing someone preaching out of the bible. Referencing the bible as the word of God. In John 1:1 we can clearly read that the Word was with God in the beginning, and all things came into being through Him. That would show that before Jesus was flesh, he was the Word. Perhaps this is why changes have been made to the bible through history and no one talks about it.

This leads to many different points and words being changed and interchanged with each other. If you were to hear someone say that faith comes from hearing the Word, what would you think. The bible is often referred to as the living word of God, but the previous paragraph shows that Jesus is infact the living word of God. By interchanging these two we are missing the magnificence of Jesus. Before He was Jesus He was the Word, when He returns he will be The King of kings.

When we lose our place in the grand scheme of creation, God loses His. We are the creation that is made in His image, but then the very image is debated for understanding. We come at it with discernment from the Holy Spirit, and every form of logic we can think of. The very subject of discernment is laced in faith for we can not know if another is filled with the Spirit of God. Though you can tell a man is born again by the fruits that he bears.

As we move cover to cover, forward and back, and navigate the bible with what we believe is understanding, we limit God. Within our finite minds we categorize content and apply what we know, in hopes to paint a clear picture. The bible refers to the bible as the divinly inspired word of God. As God has influenced the very pages of the bible, why have books been taken out? How are we supposed to view the bible as complete if it is not. How was it whole for 1500 years, and now not. Have we again limited God by removing once canonized books from the bible? Once we acknowledge the changes we need to ask ourselves if the bible continues to change. If not in text, then in understanding. We tear it apart and form groups that share a common understanding of the bible.

Have we limited God's ability to move by clinging to the current bible so tightly. Is our only understanding of God coming from what we know from an incomplete bible. Is God able to transcend the bible. Can Jesus transcend the major events in His life.

Just like humans throughout history we cling to the miracles. We want to build tents and alters to the miracles. Everything we read about in the bible is a personal account of an event. When someone wanted to build an alter, they experienced something. When they wanted to build tents, it was because of an event. We are reading about events through history. We are left to paint pictures with the information that we gather from history books.

If we are building our present day reality from yesterdays information, what are we doing today. Are we limiting God to the miracles that He had perfomed for others. Do we only see the major shifts in culture from what we read about someone else. Have we limited God and bound Him between the covers of the bible. Is He free to move. Is He free to shift culture. Is He free to create and manifest as He sees fit.

When God chooses to shake His people are we going to allow God to move. Are we going to try to limit what He can do based on what He has already done. Are we going to be open minded to the idea that He has created all things.

God cannot lie or go against what he has already promised. We know the world will get worse and worse until the coming of the antichrist. Then the worst seven year period in the history of the world will begin. After that Jesus will return with His church and we will reign with him for a thousand years. Then the final rebellion and the final judgement will take place.

Old testament promise the not longer holds today ,that was part of your words.please sir did you read your bible,or did you understand the content of the bible, are you save,or you only Goes to church.

I love your perspective! Thank you for sharing. Be well!

We should not change Scripture because the word from the God.,

I agree! Unfortunately the bible has been changed. And when we say change Gods word are we talking abiut changing what is written or changing Jesus.

This song explains this really well. Hope you enjoy.

Crap man, that was amazing. God is so great and we think we can control the Creator of all things.

I relate a lot to music in my Christian walk. Some songs just speak to our souls.

I kinda picture the creator as a black African Woman Goddess, but yea.. I dig what your sayin.

Haha right on! Be well!

My opinion of course..... I think gods word is all around us. He is in nature, your heart and every breath you take. He is the vibration (the word) that holds all things together.

I don't think the bible is the word of god. I think it could be man's interpretation of gods word. The things I know about the bible is it has been edited countless times. It is more of a historical reference to old stories with new names.

I also have a really hard time with the part of the bible that @barncat is talking about. To believe that the antichrist is coming and there will be 7 years of tribulation. Is saying, again in my opinion, don't do anything and just let evil take over the world. There is nothing we can do.... I don't like this at all, god gave us free will and morality. To do nothing would go against his will.

I do believe there is a all loving god! ... and I do believe the churches have been corrupted to control man and keep them from the true nature of god.

I do love all of you! and hope you don't choose to be upset because of my words. I felt I had to speak my truth and share my connection with god.

Thanks again for a thoughtful post,

Brandon

Great share bro! No judging from me. I live in the world of alternative perspective. The idea is to bring love and togetherness, not seperation. There is a whole lot of information to take in, ans then it is a matter of faith as to what we believe. Be well!
