They check their sun sign for a forecast -- but do they really understand what astrology is about? It's basically entertainment at this point - not much more. They could learn about their moon and rising (ascendant) signs, and then about aspects, etc. - but they don't. Either they're content believing what they don't truly understand, just want to be entertained, OR enjoy scoffing at what they don't won't to investigate with an open mind.
Don't we all do this to some extent in most areas of life? We latch on to an "expert" who can confirm our current feelings about "the way things are". Creatures of habit...creatures of habit.
