Who am I?

Strip yourself naked, layer by layer. Peel off all the qualities, experiences, personalities, values, hobbies, nationality, name, race, status, education etc. And now ask yourself who am I? You are naked, no qualities and nothing attached to you and you are not attached to anyone. How would you answer that question, who am I?

Don’t be so quick to have an answer. Your mind will respond to your question with various answers, such as I am the soul, the divine, consciousness or whatsoever. These are things you believe in or must have read somewhere and you decided that those are you. But have you experienced it? Have you felt it? If you have not then it is merely your mind telling you that you are that and you are believing it.

Experience who are you. Meditate on asking who am I and you will experience it. You may not find an answer to it but I am pretty sure you will experience something that can’t be explained. Not everything has to be described in words right. Sometimes the experience says it all and words are not enough to describe it. In that silence you will experience your innermost being and that will change your perceptions, thoughts and attitudes in life. You will eventually experience your truest form!
