Control Vs. Being

We control.
Because we get something out of it. Obviously.

Establishing a safe, ideal and advantageous construct in relationships – with self, with other selves, with art, with nature, with food, with anything we feel the need to control because there is fear of experiencing pain/lack otherwise.

We control, therefore we attain what we want to attain… right? Do we? Do we always get what we want when we control our situations? When we manipulate our situations so that we can get what we want ~ whether that’s love, or not getting heartbroken, or fame or approval or what have you… do we always get what we really want?

What do we really want is the more important question perhaps.

Take away all the stories. Take away ALL of them, and feel into the essence of what you are really wanting.

Clarity?

Love?

Peace?

Spaciousness?

Enjoyment?

Excitement?

Some good kinda feeling where words become irrelevant?

Like just ... feeling good... happy... at ease.

What’s stopping you from attaining the above right now?

Is it the fear of lack?

Are you then trying to control not having lack?

Well - when that belief of lack vanishes, what is there? What's left? What does your life look like without that fear?

When someone tells you a really funny joke and you can't help but burst into laughter... what is there? For that very short moment?

When you are emptied out of all stories and beliefs and ideas, especially the stressful and lack-based ones, what is there?

Is there fullness?

Is there relief?

Is there nothing super special yet subtly good?

Is there anything left to control?
