There’s a misconception in the new-age spiritual world regarding the apparent choice of being “of service” & living for yourself. It is considered to be oh-so-noble to label yourself as being “of service” to others. Often times, the individuals proclaiming to be “of service” to others are the ones who carry covert wounding in these spheres. Once you see it... you can’t unsee it.
In truth, there is no such choice. It’s an illusion.
You can never depart from your Purpose. You are always where you are meant to be. If that brings forward intense retaliatory emotion, consider what within the statement is triggering. Allow it to unleash. Observe it. Reorient yourself in the Now.
“Servicing others” is a natural extension of selfhood. It’s a by-product of following your heart, your bliss, your curiosity. Your path will take you down exactly where you need to go. Your soul is leading the way. The fruits of your tribulation, trials, and creativity will eventually rise... if you orient yourself in sovereignty, in divine responsibility, and in the presence of the observer.
An aligned heart will always want to serve. Always. And “serving” will be as natural as breathing. To share the essence of who you are, and your garnered wisdom, and your presence... that is revolutionary. That is serving. That holds keys, activations, and gifts.
To be able to differentiate WHO you are, from the noise in your head... from the convulsions of the world... from this whispers of influence... from conditioning and programming... that is part of the reason why individual development is absolutely fundamental TO serving.
Without individual development, which leads to sovereignty and discernment, “serving” can easily turn into servitude (toward an illusion). We see this left and right nowadays, in many many spheres.
