SPIRITUAL FOOD 4 THOUGHT - THE CHURCH CHAPTER IN CONTEXT

in spirituality •  6 years ago

Let's look at the context!!

Last time, I shared an idea with you about how a body of believers should gather and function, based upon "the church chapter," 1 Corinthians 14. This time, I'll share about how it appears in context.

Starting with 1 Corinthians 11 and finishing in 1 Corinthians 15, an interesting portion of scripture touches on some very crucial topics here. I think that "the church chapter" (1 Corinthians 14) is preceded by both "the spiritual gift chapter" (1 Corinthians 12) and "the love chapter" (1 Corinthians 13) because in order to use our spiritual gifts in the church meeting, we nee love.

Thanks so much! WE are well, and moving forward! Glad that you dig it!

What you say makes a lot of sense. How the three chapters work together. Yes we all should have something to contribute. Otherwise how can the holy spirit work in the church???? Thanks @papaa-pepper.

Amen and Amen. It's interesting once we step back and consider what is actually being said. Thanks!

I like to read from you always because I pick a lot of good points on your write ups

Church for the most part is another entertainment avenue, now I am not saying this is true across the board. It just seems like it is moving closer and closer to that, I have seen smaller churches close down and the "mega" churches getting bigger!
