Unlimited Happiness

Lucky number 69! Probably the dirtiest of all numbers :)

I don't know if it's because I regained my dream recall or because I started meditating even more, but I'm so happy about everything in my life.

Every little detail makes me smile and I spend little time thinking about negative things. Everything seems to be going so smoothly and I learnt how to appreciate every little thing you have.

Most people tend to want more and more. When you get something you desired, it's no longer a desire and you want something new.

Thus, you don't even appreciate what you already have, because you always want new things.

Escaping from this is not easy. I would say it's quite hard actually. Appreciating all the things that you have requires you to be mindful. And mindfulness takes work as well.

A lot of people learn to be grateful when they get their stuff taken away from them. When you experience a lifestyle without all the things that you had around you every day, that's one way you can learn to be grateful.

Embarking on a spiritual journey is another way to become grateful. Obviously, meditation is the key here. When you're on a journey like this, you should automatically start being more grateful if you're on the right path.

I'm not saying I don't want new things. I'm not saying I don't want to replace a few things. But I've learnt how to be happy with what I've already have.

I wake up and I'm thankful for the dreams I have. I'm thankful for the bed I have that allowed me to sleep well. I'm thankful to be ALIVE!

I've tried being grateful for a long time now. At first it's hard, because it feels kinda fake. For example, like why would I be thankful for my pillow?

It's just a pillow that I could replace any time if I needed to. But, as time passed, I really started appreciating anything and everything, even a pillow.

I don't know what might happen in my life. At some point in my life I might not have a bed and a pillow to sleep on, so I appreciate it while I have it.

I'm not saying that I expect this kind of outcome, but anything can happen. Most people only realize how important some things are to them when they no longer have access to those things.

I might be struggling with lucid dreaming, because I rarely ever become lucid, but I enjoy the whole journey. Most of the time it's the journey that matters most. It's the journey that teaches you new things. It's the journey that makes you a different person.

For example, take body building. If you could have a perfect body in one day, you wouldn't change. You would be the same person.

But, because it takes a lot of time and hard effort to get a great body, you change as a person, because you overcome obstacles.

And most of those obstacles are in your mind. You mind doesn't want to do hard things, but you must build discipline and willpower in order to get what you want.

Thus, the way you think and act changes dramatically.

The Quest For Beer

My Dream memory begins when I was climbing up a mountain. I was with a friend and we tried to reach some guy. I don't know who he was.

I didn't find it very difficult to climb, just time consuming. The guy had a speaker and he turned on some music. It was rock music.

My friend didn't like it. He said, "Damn, this guy could turn this crap off". I didn't agree with him, because I enjoy rock music. I enjoy almost all music genres to be honest, LOL.

Anyway, when we reached the top, the guy gave us some beer. We just chilled out for a while and consumed the beer slowly.

When we finished the beer, I wanted more. Thus, I began searching for more!

I left the mountain and somehow went to the city in a matter of minutes. I was alone now. But I had this feeling...

It was an adventurous feeling. I felt excited, like I was on a quest or something. It was around 10 PM and all shops were closed.

The city was filled with people, but I didn't know why. There were no events or anything interesting going on.

I did find a club and I thought about going in to get some beer, but I realized it's going to be expensive and I decided not to go in.

Plus, I was alone, and I would never enter a club alone.

Even though I was walking around for a long time now, I still felt adventurous. The quest hasn't ended yet! I felt like there's beer somewhere, I just had to find it.

I encountered some shady looking guy and he offered me some beer... For a price.

I bought like 10 bottles of beer for a lot of money. But I felt happy, because I finally achieved what I wanted... Talking about goals, right?

Later, I found myself inside a friend's house. There were like 4 of us and all of us were drinking beer and watching a screen. I say screen, because I don't remember if it was a computer screen or TV.

Then I woke up!

Some Dream Interpretations

In my dream I was climbing a mountain. What could that possibly mean? Here's what I've found:

If you dream you race up a mountain without any bother, lucky you! This probably means that you have accomplished a task with ease. Most people however, tend to have climbing dreams in which they struggle. (Source)

Yeah, I guess climbing dreams often come with the feeling of struggle and so on. I seemed to easily climb the mountain. I even enjoyed it.

This could mean that my journey is without struggles right now. Like I've said in the beginning of my post, I'm really happy about everything. I surely feel like there's no struggles for me at the moment.

Hopefully, this will continue!

Next, I was on a adventure, so to say... I was looking for beer and I felt excited about it.

I guess the emotions that I felt must come into play. It's not only about what I did, but also how I felt about it.

Wandering in a city alone at night, but still feeling excited, might mean that I'm simply hungry to achieve my goals. I'm excited about the journey and I take action with positive mindset.

I do actually set my mind to be positive when I'm trying to do anything. A negative mindset is basically just setting yourself for failure all the time.

No matter how bad things look, I try to be positive about it. Just like in my dream, all the shops were closed, but I was still searching for the beer even though there wasn't any place to buy it. Thus, I still found the beer.

I'm ending this post here. At the end of each post I'll include my first post (down below) about this journey as it explains why and how I'm doing this! (Full Post Here)

I Will Be Doing This Every Day!

The main reason I want to start lucid dreaming, is for self improvement.

I've been reading a lot about it and studies have shown that you can actually improve certain abilities by doing it in your dreams.

For example, if you wan't to learn a foreign language, you can practice it in your dreams. Since you're working with your subconscious mind while you're sleeping, you might find out that you know words that you were never aware of while conscious.

It's really all up to your creativity to what you wanna learn and improve upon in your dreams. Is it basketball that you want to become better at? You can do that!

Do you want to become a better fucker? Nobody is holding you back! Just make a nasty slut appear in front of you and do whatever you want with her!

Apparently while sleeping, the neural pathways engaged in the activity are strengthened, and not only imagined or visualized.

To achieve lucid dreaming, a lot of action has to be taken. Well... Some find it really easy to lucid dream, but most have to achieve it the hard way.

It's really important to think about lucid dreaming throughout the day. This way you're telling your subconscious mind that this is what you're focusing on and what you want, thus it gives you the access to control the dream world.

There are quite a few things I will be doing in order to achieve this goal!

  1. So, first of all, I will be posting my whole lucid dreaming journey here on Steemit every day.

  2. I will be writing down all of my dreams on a journal. A dream journal is basically essential if you want to achieve lucid dreaming.

  3. I will do at least 30-50 reality checks every day.

  4. Have a sleeping rhythm. That means I will be going to sleep at the same time every night. I'll also wake up at the same time every morning as well.

  5. I will also experiment with some techniques to induce lucid dreams.

  6. I won't look at any screens (computer, TV or even phone) 30-60 minutes before bed, because I've read that this helps a lot. For those 30-60 minutes I will be meditating.

  7. Talk, read and think about lucid dreaming constantly.

  8. Occasionally I will listen to lucid dreaming binaural beats and hypnosis.

  9. I will use an app called Awoken. This app is designed to help you achieve lucid dreaming. It reminds you to do reality checks throughout the day and it has a dream journal, which is where I will be writing down all my dreams when I wake up.

  10. I will experiment with the supplement called Dream Leaf, I already ordered it and I will use it when it arrives. I will take it only once or at most twice every week to see if it changes anything about my dreams and the ability to become lucid.

UPDATE: I do not recommend Dream Leaf, because it affected my dream recall negatively in the long run. But, I did have my first lucid dream because of it.

Tracking All My Progress!

So, like I've mentioned before, I will be tracking all my progress and I'll be posting about it every day here on Steemit.

Also, after I achieve lucid dreaming, I won't stop posting about my experiences for some time still.

When I achieve my goal, I will be writing down a lot of experiences that I have inside the dream world, and I'll experiment if it's actually possible to improve real life skills while sleeping.

I set a personal goal to achieve lucid dreaming within 30 days starting today. I'm really excited and hopefully I'll be able to do that even faster than 30 days!

This is not the first time I try to achieve lucid dreaming, but I never took it seriously and I was too inconsistent, so I never even came close to becoming lucid.

But this time I'm gonna SMASH it and record the whole journey on this blockchain!

UPDATE: I achieved lucid dreaming for the first time on day 12

Appreciate your life or appreciate what you have - often it is easier said than done. Yet if one able to grasp this his or her life will be happier. Thank you for sharing this. :)

Yeah, it really hard to do it, but it's worth it!

Wow, lucid dreaming...it's interesting and new for me to read about your experience. It is almost close to be being hypnotised right?

I guess there are some similarities, if you're entering a dream through a technique. The transition makes you feel like you're hypnotized.

I dig this series you're doing. Dreams are very important to engage with, enriching our lives and understanding. Make sure to not turn over or move when you wake up, and focus on the descriptive essences in your dream by recollecting it after waking. Dream journaling helps a lot too, though i'm sure you've read about this already but i prefer to not assume. Try some automatism and psychography, automatic writing achieved by invoking the surrealist spirit. Safe travels and keep steeming :)

Yeah, when I wake up, I try not to move so I could remember my dreams. But, often I simply forget about this. Sometimes I just don't think about my dreams right away, so I start moving and when my brain wakes up, I realize I made a mistake, LOL. I do keep a dream journal, because it's essential to dream recall. Without it, I don't think I could achieve lucid dreaming.

This is the first time I've heard about psychography, but digging into more information got me interested. I'll check out more!
