One to Rule Them All

Before we begin, many of you have been asking me....okay some of you have been asking me....okay no one is asking me but I am imagining you are.

"Matt, why are you not looking at game mechanics of Untamed for the new players?"

The simple answer is that this game is dynamic and decks will evolve using alpha, beta, promo, reward, AND untamed. So I will strive to highlight cards from each of those expansions (well not really alpha vs. beta but you get the drift) and from across the splinters.

Continuing with a look at Reward cards cycling out...I present:

The Ruler of The Seas!

This Legendary beauty was once a staple of every Water splinter battle. Even at his lowest level this god among merfolk delivers 2 magic, 3 speed, and 5 life with a Blast. No that is not emphasis, I mean he has Blast.

Does additional damage to Monsters adjacent to the target Monster.

As he levels up you can add both Swiftness and Silence to the abilities and of course improve the statistics all round. Paired with a Summoner who will likely add 1 magic (Um...think Alric) and you have a devastating fighter from almost any position on your team.

This magic manifesting merman has his days numbered so I encourage you to try and get your hands on a few. In almost all battle formats he is a formidable addition to the Water lineup and will remain so for the foreseeable future.
