It's true! We are in the final steps of rebranding STEEM MONSTERS into SPLINTERLANDS!
The decision to do this came months ago when a discussion of collaborating with other blockchains came up. And then a beautiful Tron/Steem integration was born, with hopefully more to come!
As for now, we've changed our social media sites to SPLINTERLANDS and are now going to be posting primarily from @splinterlands here on the Steem blockchain.
The VP (voting power and Steem power) will stay in the @steemmonsters account and still be used for curating (at least for the time being).

I have been waiting for this. This will make promoting splinterlands easier on other platforms as I was calling it splinterlands but then posting a link to steemmonsters. It’s a small thing but it does throw up an alarm bell for some when this happens.

Nice decision...SM needs to evolve and make adjustments for other blockchains. In this way it can be a true decentralized game.
Plus cross blockchain dynamics will improve prospects for steem also. The example of tron//steem is there.

I get the change, I hope this doesn't lead to the eventual abandonment of Steemit.. but I don't think it will and I am happy Splinterlands is its own entity.
