New Racket

Hi Steemians

Bought myself a new badminton racket. It's the Yonex Astrox 99. Supposed to be an upgrade from my older racket the Astrox 88D. It is head heavy, giving you a steeper smash and more power. I chose the lighter version which is 4u or around 81 grams in weight. My older one was 3U which is 88 grams

So far so good. Feels similar to the old one. But now i have the option of a lighter racket which can be faster and less tiring. Or the heavier one for more power.

Do you play badminton? What racket do you use?

It's a fun sport. A lot easier on the body than playing tennis. Don't play it often enough to get professional rackets....

thank you edkarnie, that's a cool picture of you playing badminton, lol. Yes there is a tennis court beside our badminton court, and i always feel sorry for the tennis players every time it rains

When I was at my university, I also played badminton and yeah had a Yonix racket as well! When I left my university, I didn't find a time and place to do practice! How much this racket cost you?

You can practice with the heavy so when its time for a serious game the light one will be even lighter and you will move light lightning

Wow! You are very fit and healthy! Badminton makes you run around the court!! It’s hard to find places to play this game here! People go to gym to pump iron!

thank you kaminchan, i also pump iron sometimes but not too heavy so it doesn't slow me down in the court

thank you pardeepkumar, yes very fun game, sometimes the racket isn't as important as the skills, but it might give you extra 2% boost which could be important in close games
