Baseball in Nicaragua

The next Friday, February 15 was confirmed as the date of takeoff of the National Baseball Championship Pomares 2019, which maintains interest and enthusiasm throughout the country.

This was announced this morning by the Nicaraguan Superior Baseball Commission, CNBS, in a meeting with the team representatives, when announcing the Call for the "Pomares 2019". The 18 traditional teams will see action, which are divided into two qualifying groups. The Championship will be played in five stages, so that much baseball is assured in the next six months, and in more cities throughout the country.

The "A" Group is made up of the Bóer, León, Rivas, Matagalpa, Granada, Jinotega, Zelaya Central, Nueva Segovia and Río San Juan teams. In the "B" are the champion Dantos, Costa Caribe, Estelí, Chontales, Chinandega, Carazo, Masaya, Madriz and Boaco.

In the first stage, scheduled from February 15 to June 23, the teams will play all against each other, a series of three games against each team until completing 51 challenges.
