with the team spirit and defensive solidity chelsea won the premier league title with a total of 95 points. it must be remembered that chelsea only lost one game in the 2004-2005 season, the sole defeat came away at manchester city, a 1-0 loss in which nicolas anelka converted a controversial penalty. it can't b argue that chelsea is the best defensive team in the league conceding just 15 goals in 38 games that season, which remains the premier league record.

   *At the heart of this chelsea team were two of the greatest centre backs in the world, John terry and ricardo carvalho. Terry at the time, was in his peak with more peace, however, carvalho often covered terry. carvalho was essentially a much better version of cahil. a rather quickly centre back at the time. gallas was solid at left back, while paulo ferreira was solid at the right back. cech was arguably at his best in this time.

All the records seems to wash off with chelsea sitting a single point outside of the relegation zone heading into round 17, the blues decided to part ways with manager jose mourinho in 2015/2016 season, just one year after chelsea was crowned premier league champions.

4th of april 2016 chelsea appointed antonio conte as first team head coach, and he came with his tactics (3-4-3) new formation with different dimension of players. thibaut courtois in goal, while garry cahil-david Luiz-azpilieueta in defence, n'golo kante-marcos alonso-victor moses-nemanja matic in midfield, eden hazard-diego coasta-pedro upfront.

chelsea set a new club record registering 13 consecutive league win in the season for the first time. the blues beat their own record of 29,set by jose mourinho's side in 2004-05 and 2005-06 when they smashed Sunderland 5-1 and claim the record of 30 wins out of 38 games.

the season was all good and we all think we have found the right man for the job not until things started falling apart.
*in the start of the of the 2017/18 season, conte told diego coasta he's not wanted at chelsea through text massage, sold nemanja matic one of chelsea's best midfielders, juan cuadrado-asmir begovic-release the club captain John terry on a free transfer, loaned tammy abraham-ruben loftus-check etc and also sold nathaniel chalobah.
*signed ethan ampadu-antonio rudiger-tiemoue bakayoko-alvaro morata-drinkwater-ross barkley-oliver giroud-willy caballero etc.
chelsea lost their first premier league match of 2017/18 season to burnley 2-3 conte blamed the defeat on chelsea's board, then I knew chelsea season is going to be a season to forget. after losing the first league game the blues won 4 matches consecutively before playing a goalless draw with arsenal.
*recently chelsea and was knocked out of the caraba cup by arsenal 2-1 with some ridiculous defending from the team.
*conte switch from (3-4-3) formation to (3-5-2) putting hazard and morata upfront which didn't went well for the team.
*conte keep blaming the board whenever chelsea loose a match, insisting in not getting what he wanted after chelsea spent over 150 million pounds on transfer
some days ago chelsea lost to bournemouth 0-3 at thier home ground stamford bridge after a ridiculous performance from the team and conte still put the blame on the board
*chelsea defence have been shambolic so far this season conceded 19 goals 5 defeat in 22 league games and conte still put the blame on the board.
*with the few point I have made I think antonio conte time is up although he as won title,breaking and making records but I think he as lost it all and it's time for him to leave.
