In his 15th season Lebron 'King' James is showing no signs of slowing down, and this morning lead his Cleveland Cavaliers to a game 7, 105-101 win over the Indiana Pacers at the Q in Cleveland. James put up some staggering numbers to get his team over the line 45 Points on 64% shooting, 9 Rebounds, 7 Assists and 4 Steals.
The Cavs needed everything Lebron had to get over the pesky Pacers, James's support crew is not what it once was without Kyrie Irving and this sort of struggle in the first round of the playoffs is not something that James has had to endure since early in his career having becoming accustomed to sweeping through the early rounds of the playoffs.
The Cavs turned to Tristan Thompson in a surprise move to start game 7, the seven-year veteran who has been through the playoff wars with this team and served as a major contributor during the 2016 championship run. He rewarded Lue's trust and demonstrated his value, scoring 15 points and grabbing 10 rebounds (five offensive) in Cleveland's 105-101 win over Indiana.
The Cavs now move on the Round 2 of the playoffs where the Toronto Raptors lay in wait, the Raptors have proved nothing more then a speed bump for the Cavs in the playoffs in recent seasons however this years team seem to be made of harder stuff. Lebron doesnt have Kyrie riding shotgun with him this year and with a crew of bit parts around him it is going to take all his greatness to get back to the Eastern Conference finals, i wouldn't bet against him though.
