Technology is implicit in many things, it will be more and more, it is assumed that at some point much of the work will be done by machines, by artificial intelligence. But, in the sports field it can also be seen that there is more and more use of technology for different purposes. For a long time now, video cameras placed in strategic positions have been used to capture important moments during the different sports disciplines, which, if necessary, can be used to make decisions.
We can see it in soccer, when you can see the different plays from different angles, or when in athletics, when there is a very tight finish in a race, which does not facilitate the human eye can define, the recordings are used, played in slow motion and it is clearly seen who is the first to cross the finish line, thus allowing to be fair when giving the final results.
Technology now gives us the possibility to see more details of everything, thus being a great tool so that despite being thousands of kilometers away we can enjoy our favorite sports with luxury and detail. Thanks to the fact that everything is recorded and uploaded to Youtube channels, we can watch the games as many times as we want or, in case we cannot watch it live, we will be able to do it whenever we can.
Similarly, more rigorous controls have been established in training sessions, which through the use of technology are developing more skills in athletes. And not only that, but at the level of anti-doping control, athletes are currently very well valued to prevent them from taking advantage of the consumption of certain substances that allow an illegal increase in their performance as athletes.
The infrastructures in which the different games are carried out have such a degree of progress at present that I could say they are clear examples of what technology can do in terms of improvements in terms of conditioning. But there is still a long way to go, this type of technology is not economical, which means that not all countries can implement it.
What is undeniable, however, is that regardless of all the progress and technology applied to sport is becoming more and more notorious, the athletes will always be the protagonists.
