Arsenal FC have today announced the signing of Sead Kolasinac on a free transfer from Schalke, but will he be the first of many, in what I personally hope is a busy summer of transfers at the Emirates.

With the pressure on boss Arsene Wenger to spend big, Arsenal have also been linked with a summer move for the AS Monaco wonderkid Kylian Mbappe , in what would without doubt be Arsene Wenger biggest ever signing as Arsenal manager.

Arsenal have reportedly bid in excess of £120 million for the 18 year old , who has taken the world of Football by storm in his debut season scoring 27 goals, winning the French title and reaching the semi finals of the champions league.

But as many question the audacity of Arsenals reported interest in Mbappe, I have a few reason which why this would be a good move for the talented young Frenchman.

  1. Guaranteed first team football
  2. Will be the main man
  3. Arsenal can triple his wages
  4. Mbappe is a big fan of Arsene Wenger

While I might be clutching at straws myself, the move would make sense for Mbappe, because if he was to join the likes of Real Madrid would he be a first team regular? Or the main man? Granted teams like Madrid can afford to quadruple his wages but surely playing has to be the priority for Mbappe.

With Arsene Wenger and Chief Executive Ivan Gazidis spotted in France yesterday is Mbappe a real possibility for Arsenal, I really hope so.

What is for sure, is that it is going to be a very interesting summer of football transfer dealings.

£120 million for an 18 year old is outrageous! What is happening in the football world? Price of footballers is increasing day by day. I think that FIFA need to intervene to stop clubs from over-pricing their players. Though Mbappe is really good, he cannot be worth that much.

@moon11 It's the maket these days and the football clubs have the money to pay the transfer fees and wages!
Prices of footballers are ridiculous but so is the amount of money football clubs get from TV rights and other lucrative deals.
FIFA themselves have been investigated for bribery and corruption, the game is becoming all about money.

If Arsenal get him, it will be a new era.
