The Appeal Committee of the RFEF has ratified the sanction of five games without playing for Cristiano Ronaldo after his expulsion in the first leg of the Super Cup of Spain in which Real Madrid beat Barcelona 3-1.

Cristiano Ronaldo will not be able to play until September 20, when Real Madrid host Betis at the Santiago Bernabeu on Matchday 5 of the League. The Portuguese was sanctioned by the Single Competition Judge with a suspension party after being expelled from the match for double reprimand, the first to remove his shirt and the second to simulate a penalty, and another four by the push to referee Ricardo de Burgos Bengoetxea After seeing the red card.

Earlier Wednesday, Real Madrid filed a double appeal before the Appeals Committee in an attempt to overturn the Judge's decision. In their allegations, Real Madrid argued that the player had not tried to simulate a penalty, but it had been a natural fall after "locking" with Umtiti. In addition, he argued that the push to the referee was a "purely instinctive act" and not an attempt of aggression.

The punishment to the maximum star merengue has caused a monumental anger in all the sectors of Real Madrid, from the directive, until the fans.

Players like Sergio Ramos and Dani Carvajal have called the ban "excessive", while coach Zinedine Zidane said he was "very upset" and questioned the transparency of the authorities' decisions by insinuating the existence of a persecution against his player.

"When you see five matches fall, you think something is going on there," he said after the team's last training session on Tuesday.

The Frenchman could be denounced by the Technical Committee of Arbitrators before Competition for doubting his honesty - although his criticisms were not directed to the hissing, if not to the Unique Judge of Competition, who was the one that made the decision to sanction the player.

The statements of the coach gave arguments to the fans to feel 'aggrieved' once again believing themselves victims of dishonest arbitration. Validated by the annoyance of the French, a group of fans have organized through various clubs to protest during the match against Barcelona that will be played tonight at the Santiago Bernabéu with a 'peñolada
