Picture of the day - Lancia Delta HF Integrale on Corsican roads

in sport •  7 years ago

Hi, Steemers!

What a beautiful peace of history this car is. My dearest rally memories probably are connected with that car. I never drove it but because of this car I started to follow rally sport.

This photo is from the late eighties. You can see full slick tires on it without the pattern which banned a long time ago because of the safety reasons.

There's no name of the driver clearly visible from this angle, but I would say it's probably Miki Biasion who was twice World Rally Champion at the end of eighties.

The other driver's name could be Didier Auriol who also has a history with this manufacturer.

Anyway, what a beautiful photo to concede this Monday.

Cheers...

Nice post.
Auriol won the « tour de corse » on 1989/1990/1992 with the Lancia Delta and In 1988 with the Ford sierra RS Cosworth.
