**AMERICAS CUP IS A BIG DEAL FOR ANY COUNTRY **
Americas Cup is the most famous and most prestigious regatta and Match Race in the sport of sailing.
When is comes to sailing, New Zealand take it very seriously especially when it comes to competing in the Americas Cup challenge.
Let's for a moment take a step back up n time to 1995 when the late Sir Peter Black lead and Russle Coutts Captained NZL 32 aka Black Magic.
That year team New Zealand went on to win 5-0 in a black wash in San Diego California beating a well funded super team America which at the time was hailed as the unbeatable team lead by and as the team crosses the finshline the famous words were attered by the commentator Pete Montgomery "Americas cup is now New Zealand's Cup"
But in 2001 a tragic event would claim the life of Sir Peter Blake who was shot and killed by pirates while he was on an environmental exploration trip in South America, monitoring global warming and pollution for the United Nations.
