Show of Strength

The first half started off pretty mildly with only a penalty to Australia happening in the first 20 minutes. But in the following five minutes both the Wallabies and the Puma's score convincing tries. The puma's just managed to scrape ahead by converting theirs (10-8). Handling errors tormented both teams throughout the half which contributed to a very even match but Argentina showed that they can not only match their rivals but also take the lead. After 33 minutes of play, the building pressure by Australia was transformed into some much-needed points when a wide pass out to Hodge, who was completely unmarked, was easily placed down over the line. It stayed unconverted and Argentina was able to retaliate back with a three-pointer, leveling the score but as the closing minutes ticked down they almost pick up another 5 points with an impressive downfield run that easily circumvent Australia's barricade, however, the try was disallowed due to an early knock-on.

Half Time Score

ARG 13- 13 AUS

Histotry Repeats

Once again, Argentina shows the world that their fitness and composure cannot last a full 80 minutes. After 60 minutes the score is locked at 20-20 but we can see fatigue and loss of determination come across the Puma team. If Argentina can fix this issue of their game they will be a force to be reckoned with and now that they are part of TRC this may give them the exposure they so desperately need. Both teams in a position to own the game but it is Australia that comes out to dominate. As they start to pick holes in the Puma's defenses they are rewarded with solid points and effortlessly stroll away with the scoreboard scoring 18 uncontested points to finish the match 20-37

Full Time Score

ARG 20 -37 AUS
