LOSING NEYMAR IS THE CONSEQUENCE

in sport •  7 years ago  (edited)

“I am not worried because they know that if they touch one of our players, then we will be in opposition to them, we'll contact their players,” Al-Khelaifi said. “We respect all clubs. But if they try to sign one of our players, they'll face consequences.”

These were the words of Psg president Al-khelafi before this summer.

The saga started when barcelona approached Marco verratti, despite Psg insisting that he isn't for sale, even Barcelona president commented directly about the player.

This talk unsettled verratti, leading to his agent claiming that verratti has been held as a prisoner at Psg. This resulted to the player himself cutting lose his agent to link up with Mino Raiola.

Fast-forward, the consequence of Barcelona's action started as a rumour, that Psg was ready to trigger neymar's release clause, many inside barca 's camp must have thought it to be a mere bluff, they claimed they were certain that neymar wasn't going anywhere .
But before they know it, beyond their imaginations, on friday, 4th of August, Neymar was presented to the press as a Psg player for a world record fee of 200m pounds, shattering the previous record held by Paul pogba.

The warning was issued, barca failed to heed to it, and the consequence is them losing one their prized asset, destroying their feared msn formidable attack.

It's a lesson served out, most teams will learn from it, you don't mess with PSG. @steemitsport

Well played sir!
Wonder what the FFP will do about that...

Psg must have considered Ffp before going ahead with the deal. They shouldn't have any issues with that

It's about time someone showed Barca that they can't go around tapping up other clubs' players. I hope Neymar Jr. all the luck in the world as I think this is his chance to show that he is on the level of CR7 and Messi.

I have no doubt he's going to do well at Psg, see him challenging Messi and C. Ronaldo. Thanks for the contribution
