A few hours ago ended the Copa América semifinal between the teams of Argentina and Brazil, which has left a bittersweet taste, very dissimilar sensations.
On the one hand it is comforting to see that the team lived up to the circumstances and was seen playing their best game in a very long time. Juice equal to the home side Brazil and in several passages of the match the national team went over his rival ocacionando the best chances to score, but without the effectiveness of his adversary who despite having arrived on very few occasions rival area scoring two goals. The first of an exquisite play by Dani Alves and the second arises after the Argentine players stayed protesting a supposed penalty not sanctioned by the Ecuadorian referee.
I must also mention the very bad arbitration of the Ecuadorian who was totally partial in favor of the local team. He took a lot of yellow cards to several Argentine players, many of which lacked meaning as for example the Argentine Acuña averaging the first 8 minutes for the first minor offense committed by the aforementioned player.
The referee also omitted to receive two clear penalties when Brazil won 1-0, in favor of the national team that would have changed the development of the game.
Sport is like that, sometimes it is won and sometimes it is lost but the important thing is that it always gives rematch. You just have to have patience, work hard and know how to wait for it.
As salient points remain the performances of Lautaro Martinez, some flashes of the great Lio Messi, great performances of Acuña. Leandro Paredes, Rodrigo De Paul.
I hope that new airs come in this selection that so many joys gave us and that Messi can win a title with the Argentina Shirt. It would be fantastic to put a finishing touch on his spectacular career as a professional footballer.
