The reef break Peahi, known as Jaws, is located on the Northshore of Maui and produces the biggest wave in Hawaii, up to 40 feet. Hawaiian wave measurement differs from most of the world, we measure it here based on water base to the highest peak of the wave. A 40 foot Hawaiian wave would be called an 80 foot wave else where. The board in this image is around 10 feet long, you do the math.
