FIFA President, Gianni Infantino will submit the new proposal at a meeting with the FIFA Council in January that will see 48 teams take part in football world cup. This will follow several proposals over expanding the competition or sticking with the current system. If the proposals are amended then it might be effective by 2026. Could this be the ideal and the real deal to include the expanding world and be be able to accommodate new nations into the world football system? Who knows this, maybe the Fifa President has it all for us. God bless the football world.
