True, Olynyk has raised his game and managed to become (from the bench) the second scorer that the Celtics needed. But the key to the match, in my opinion, was the way Thomas passed the ball.
I mean, the Wizards expected his 29 points. Although they did not expect the "poisonous" IT to dictate the attack rhythms in this way. He served the shooters on the perimeter, he created numerical superiority from bouncing on his teammates, played his pick-and-pop with Horford and pick-and-roll with Olynyk with great control.
There were numerically 12 assist, but "psychologically" weighed a lot more. Because Thomas's inspiration for the assists has allowed better spacing and involvement of tteammates.
One of the few times I saw him play (and not as a shooting-guard in the body of a playmaker) and I did not feel sorry at all.
(Please Isaiah keep surprising us).
