Harry Kane (again) Breaks Spurs Record

in sports •  7 years ago

Harry Kane broke a new record again in 2018. After surpassing Alan Shearer's scoring goal and becoming the Premier League's most-scored player in a year, Kane this time passed his previous player record, Teddy Sheringham.

During Sheringham defending Tottenham Hotspur, he scored 97 goals in the English Premier League and made him the top scorer in the history of the team in the English Premier League. Today, the record was taken over by Kane.

In the Premier League game yesterday, Spurs face a team from Merseyside, Everton. In the first half, Spurs did not play very well. Everton's solid defense made the Lilywhites difficult to score.

Media coverage is likely to be filled around record-breaking by Kane, but we must also appreciate Son Heung-Min. The opening goal made by him in the first half split the distance between Spurs and Everton. Son seems comfortable at Wembley and has scored in five straight games there.

Son also gave assist to Kane who made the England striker equaled Sheringham's record. Kane not only made a goal in the second half. Brace is recorded in the game makes him the player who scored the most goals in the Premier League throughout the history of Spurs. The big win ended with a goal from Christian Eriksen.

But keep in mind, Kane broke the record is not the most goalscorer Spurs. The record is still held by Jimmy Greaves with a total of 266 goals. But it will not seem difficult to be pursued by Kane. But, just hope Kane is still at Spurs for a few more years.
