Steem-NFL Playoff Challenge: Final Results

The NFL season has concluded with an Eagles victory over the Patriots in Super Bowl LII. Let's see how our best Steem sports contestants finished the competitive season!

Coming into the final week of our playoff contest, the competition was fairly tight. The contest could have ended in a variety of ways, especially with big numbers put up by the Eagles in the Super Bowl. But as the game progressed, it turned out that both teams were having phenomenal success on offense. As the clock ticked to triple zeros, 74 combined points were scored and the record books were smashed when it came to yards gained.

Without a clear winning or losing team in terms of fantasy points, the competition came down to picking the right players on either team...and here are the final results of Steem's best fantasy football contestants.

At the top of the list after conference championship week was @bigpchef, with a total of 428 points. He had an all-Patriots lineup going into the Super Bowl, which still ended up working out in his favor, despite the Patriots loss. With five 4x bonuses in his roster and another pair of 2x bonuses, he collected a massive 302 points for the final week.

But not to be outdone was @chops316, who saw @bigpchef's 302 point accumulation...and raised him an additional 63 points! Those 365 points brought @chops316 to a total of 723 for the playoff challenge!

That huge move would have been enough to overtake an ordinary man...but we're talking about @bigpchef here! He wasn't about to lose this competition! He's a sage of sports! A football fanatic! The guru of the gridiron! The prophet of pigskin!

He saw the charge of @chops316 and stopped it dead in its tracks with his superior soothsaying skills...and maybe a little bit of luck. So the final results gave @bigpchef a 7-point victory and the top prize in this year's playoff challenge. Congratulations to him for surviving the gauntlet throughout the entire season!

The total pot for this contest coming into the final week was 140 Steem Dollars. The projected final pot will likely be ~200 SBD. This will be split between the 12 participants as follows:
